Kaupinpirtti is an atmospheric silver log cabin located at the heart of Finnish Lapland, foot of fell Kuer on next to lake Pikku-Kaupinjärvi, close to the services of the village of Äkäslompolo and Ylläs ski-resort. Own yard provides holiday peace and the proximity of services make the holiday pleasant. The terrace offers views of the fells, which you can also enjoy directly at the dining table.
Modern interior of the cottage, combined with silver-logs, creates a unique cottage atmosphere. When the circumstances are right, the Northern Lights will appear dancing over the fells, which can be admired directly from the window of the cottage or from the yard of the cottage. From track, which starts very close from the yard (allowed for dogs), you can get directly to the best cross-country ski trails in Finland. In addition, the trail connects to an illuminated trail after about 1km of travel. From the cottage you can also go directly to the Kuerfell conquest expedition.
Kaupinpirtti is a real bird spotters dream. Directly from the terrace of the cottage you can watch the birds on the lake. For example, the same swan couple arrives every spring for nesting in Pikku-Kaupinjärvi lake. A couple of otters, as well as occasionally a beaver, appear directly front of the cottage. On the opposite shore of Lake Pikku-Kaupinjärvi you will find the Konijänkän Kotipiha, which provides horse tours, both husky and reindeer rides, but just visiting the farm is a fun experience where you can feed horses and reindeers.
Ylläs also offers more spectacular mountain bike trails to ride both in summer and in winter. On the outside wall of the cabin you can find a water inlet and a hose for convenient flushing of the bike after a trip.
Kaupinpirtti is the so-called loft style cabin , i.e. all spaces excluding the toilet and washing rooms are one and the same space where the loft wraps around the entire cottage on three sides. The actual sleeping areas (5 beds) are in the loft, there is also a sofa bed downstairs. The cottage has 4G wireless internet connection which allows, for example, to work remotely comfortably. The cottage is ideal for 2 adults and 1-2 children.
Kaupinpirtti has undergone extensive renovations in recent years. In the newly renovated service building in the courtyard there is a laundry room with a water point, a washing machine and a drying cabinet. In the yard storage room you can also find a service room tailored to the lubrication of skis.
Heating of the cabin and, if necessary, the cooling is handled by an air heat pump and the underfloor heating brings comfort warmth under the feet. In case of frosty temperatures, the fireplace and electric radiators provide additional heat. In the yard shed you can find kick sledges, sledges, sliders and a bobsleigh for snowdrifts. Binoculars should be packed with you to monitor birds and other creatures.
Charging the electric car is possible in the cabin (max 8A). Instructions for charging will come at the time of booking confirmation.
Kaupinpirtti reservations can be made directly using Nettimökki's booking calendar (the booking calendar is always up to date with availability).
Nice and tidy pets are welcome at the cottage. Please inform the pet at the time of booking.
Kaupinpirtti, Kaupinmaja and Ruska 2 are adjacent cottages on the shores of Pikku-Kaupinjärvi, so you can book nearby cottages for larger groups if necessary.

Tight cancellation policyIf the guest cancels at least 30 days before the start of the rental period, the paid rent will be refunded, excluding the service fee of the service provider. If the guest cancels at least 7 days before the rental period begins, 50% of the paid rent will be refunded, excluding the service fee. The service fee is non-refundable. For bookings cancelled after this period, no rent will be refunded.

Other rental termsInstructions for the cabin will be delivered immediately after the booking is confirmed and key information about the cabin will be provided 24 hours before the rental period starts. Final cleaning and bed linen are not included in the rental price if the services have not been ordered separately at the time of booking. If no final cleaning has been ordered, the tenant is responsible for the final cleaning. Final cleaning instructions will be provided at the time of booking confirmation. Firewood is included in the rental price. The cabin is available from 16:00 on the day of booking and until 14:00 on the day of departure. If the final cleaning is ordered, the cabin will be handed over by 10:00 on the day of departure.
