A Secure Payments for both Guests and Hosts

Nettimaksu is Nettimökki’s secure and user-friendly payment method, facilitated by the Finnish company Alma Finanssipalvelut Oy in collaboration with banks and credit institutions. You can identify Nettimaksullinen listings by the blue Nettimaksu logo.

How Nettimaksu Works

Listings with Nettimaksu are always booked and paid for through Nettimökki.
When a guest sends a booking request for a listing, the host receives a notification via email, and the request is also recorded in Nettimökki. The host has 24 hours to accept the booking request. If the host does not respond within 24 hours or declines the request, the booking is cancelled.
The host can also respond by making an offer and setting a validity period for it.
The guest confirms the booking by paying the rent. If the total amount exceeds 50 €, the payment can be made in two instalments, starting with a 20 % booking fee, provided the cancellation terms stated in the listing allow for this. However, the entire rental amount must be paid by the end of the cancellation period.
A confirmation email is sent to both the guest and the host once the booking is confirmed.
If a listing is marked with the Instant Booking icon, it can be booked and paid for immediately.
Payment can be made via Finnish online banking or with credit cards: Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, and Business Eurocard, or via Mobile Pay.
A service fee, according to Nettimökki’s pricing, is charged with the payment.
The payment recipient is shown as maksut.almamedia.fi.
All data transfer and financial transactions are SSL-secured.

The terms and agreements related to the booking are stored in Nettimökki for the duration of the customer relationship and for a reasonable period thereafter.

Service Charges for Listings with Nettimaksu

Guest Service Fee

The service fee is the guest's contribution to the reliable rental facilitation provided by Nettimökki. The service fee is paid upon booking confirmation and is fully refunded if the host cancels the booking. The service fee is 3.5% of the payable amount (including VAT 25.5%).

Host Commission Fee

The commission fee is the host's contribution to the reliable rental facilitation provided by Nettimökki. The commission fee is deducted from the rent defined by the host. The commission fee is 2.5 % (including VAT 25.5%). Additionally, the host pays a fixed annual fee of 299 € per listing (+ VAT 25.5%).

Host Cancellation Penalty

If the host cancels a confirmed booking, a cancellation penalty is charged, which is deducted from the next disbursement. The cancellation penalty is 6.2% (including VAT at 25.5%) of the total booking amount, including any security deposit, with a minimum charge of €12.40 (including VAT at 25.5%).
