Nettimökin välityksellä vuokraat mökin turvallisesti

By making a booking through Nettimökki, you ensure a worry-free and smooth rental experience. Nettimaksu is a staged and secure payment service that safeguards the transaction for both parties involved in the rental. All written agreements are recorded within the service when you communicate about the rental details on Nettimökki.

Payment Security with Nettimaksu Service

Nettimaksu is Nettimökki’s own secure payment option for both guests and hosts.

  • Listings with Nettimaksu are always booked and paid through Nettimökki
  • The guest pays the rent or booking fee at the time of reservation via online banking or credit card, and the host is notified of the payment
  • The payment is released to the host after the rental period begins
  • If the host does not respond within 24 hours or rejects the booking request, the reservation is cancelled
  • Nettimaksu listings are identified by a blue Nettimaksu label

Alma Financial Services acts as the payment intermediary for Nettimaksu in collaboration with banks and credit institutions, with transactions conducted through online banking using personal banking credentials. The financial transactions and all data transfers related to the payment process are SSL-protected.

If You Do Not Book through Nettimökki and/or Use Nettimaksu as a Payment Method:

Communication Regarding Your Booking

  • Get to know the host and the property by reading reviews and feedback left by previous guests. Remember to leave your own feedback after the rental
  • Contact the cottage owner well in advance to confirm the details of your booking
  • We recommend agreeing on payment procedures and rental terms in writing, for example via email
  • When logged into Nettimökki, you can engage in message exchanges, ensuring both parties have a record of the communication

Do Not Send Money in Advance to Strangers

Requesting advance payment may be a sign of a scam attempt. You might be asked to transfer money via services like Western Union or MoneyGram, or through a bank transfer. These options are unreliable, as the recipient could claim the funds with a fake identity, making recovery of the money unlikely.

You may also be offered a PayPal payment option, where you receive a payment link via email. The message and website might appear genuine but could be a scam. Sending money in advance to an unknown recipient involves taking a calculated risk.

To verify the seller’s identity, you can try checking the phone number through directory assistance or a number inquiry service.

Be Cautious with Data Security

Check the sender’s details in emails and ensure that the part after the @ symbol is correct. Read the entire link address in emails. Be particularly careful when receiving attachments or prompts to log into a service. Suspicious messages can often be phishing attempts.

All transactions and agreements are solely between the parties involved. Nettimökki cannot track events outside the platform, nor does it know what parties have agreed upon. Nettimökki does not collect or provide information about guests’ creditworthiness. However, advertisements from external financial services may appear on the site.

If You Encounter a Suspicious Listing

If you suspect you have been targeted by a scam or received an email or other contact that you doubt is genuine, please report it to our customer service immediately. If you have shared personal information, change your passwords and contact our customer service.
