Villa Olaf, completed in March 2024, invites you to enjoy the nature of Lapland in all seasons! This cottage is located in a wonderful location, by the lake in the quiet Nilivaara area of Äkäslompolo. A floodlit ski trail runs adjacent to the property and services are easily accessible.
The cottage is located near the beach. From the beach, watch the Northern Lights over the fell, take a dip or go for a ride on the cabin's own funnel board.
The spacious semi-detached house (66m2 + 30m2 loft) has contemporary amenities and quality beds for 6 + 2 people. Both downstairs bedrooms have double beds, which can be placed together or separately. The upstairs loft has matching beds for two, as well as a wide Karup Design sofa bed with futon mattress (130 cm). In addition, a guest mattress, which can be taken downstairs for a child, for example. The beds, blankets and pillows are new as well as comfortable to sleep on. For the little ones, there is a travel cot and other children's accessories ready.
The loft has its own toilet and lounge area for playing and watching TV. In addition to the two bedrooms on the ground floor, there is a living room, kitchen, sauna and washroom, utility room and two toilets. The interior design of the cottage has been made in collaboration with the interior designer using high-quality, mainly second-hand design.
Ski trails as well as cycling and hiking trails depart from the property boundary. Shops and services are less than 2 km away, and in winter there is a walking trail across the lake for about 1 km. The ski slopes are 4 km away and the Skibussi stop is 400 metres away. Here you can easily vacation even without a car! You can arrive by night train to Kolari (40 km) or by plane to Kittila (50 km). Both have a bus connection to Jounin Kaupa and about 1 km away to Äkäshotelli, which is a short walk or taxi ride away. If you arrive by electric car, you will have access to your own charging point.
For fun holidays and easy mobility, you also have a mountain bike with wider plus size tires (suitable for approx. 170-190 cm in length), which can be used to ride in summer and winter. The outdoor storage room has storage space for outdoor equipment, two sleds and a ski lubrication rack and iron. Remote work is smooth over WiFi with a 200 MB 4G interface. The cottage is also suitable for allergy sufferers, as there are no pets as guests.

Tight cancellation policyIf the guest cancels at least 30 days before the start of the rental period, the paid rent will be refunded, excluding the service fee of the service provider. If the guest cancels at least 7 days before the rental period begins, 50% of the paid rent will be refunded, excluding the service fee. The service fee is non-refundable. For bookings cancelled after this period, no rent will be refunded.
