Villa Varpu is a modern log villa completed in 2023 on the shores of the bright Jamoin Lake in Padasjoki. Villa Varpu offers its guests a peaceful cottage life with all the comforts.
Villa Varpu can comfortably accommodate 8-9 people. The main house has two bedrooms, one of which has a double bed. The second bedroom has a bunk bed and a separate 80cm wide bed. The detached building has two bedrooms, one of which has a 120cm wide bed. The second room has a 90cm wide bunk bed and a separate 80cm wide bed. Aita's bedrooms have electric radiators, so you can stay overnight even in winter. Both the bedrooms in the main house and the bedrooms of the aita have opening windows with mosquito nets and additionally blackout curtains.
The living room, kitchen and dining area are a large spacious space, from which large windows overlook a magnificent west-facing lake landscape. The villa is decorated in a modern Scandinavian style and
is well equipped. The
sauna has a wood stove and views of the lake from the sauna boards. The washing facilities have direct access to the terrace and along the stairs to swim in the lake. On the large 35m2 terrace you can enjoy the lake views and the sun, which shines on the terrace in summer from afternoon until evening. The terrace has a dining group of six people and can cook on the gas grill during the summer season
. In the
courtyard of the villa there are stairs and height differences, which limits the movement of the disabled. The beach can be reached by stairs or a gravel-surfaced waterway. There is a large pier on the shore, at the end of which the water depth is about 2 meters. Swimming can also be reached from the beach, but the beach deepens quickly and is therefore not ideal
for young children.
Ventilation of the main building includes cooling. This will keep the whole building nice cool in the summer. In addition, the main building has an air heat pump, which can be used for cooling or, if necessary,
heating.
You can also spend an active holiday in Villa Varvu, as good outdoor terrain is nearby. The camping area of Evo is only about 10 min drive away and allows a total of about 70km of marked trails and nature trails as well as several lean-tos. The centre of Padasjoki is about 15 minutes' drive from the centre of Padasjoki and you will find, for example, an 18-lane frisbee golf course, beach volleyball and football fields and an observation tower (stunning views over Päijänne). During the summer season, the villa also has a rowing boat and float vests, a high-quality Acon trampoline, some yard games and an onget for fishing.
There are still small incompletions in the yard, for example, the stairs of the main house to the terraces are temporary. There may still be a little smell of fresh paint in Aita's bedrooms. Charging the electric car from the power plug is possible if agreed separately (with own cable).
Bed linen (not added) and towels are included in the price. The villa has internet access and the quality of the tap water is excellent (surveyed 2023)
.
The cottage road is plowed in the winter season as needed. Please note, however, that there is one more challenging uphill on the cottage road, which, especially in the icy weather of spring winter, can present challenges for rear-wheel
drive cars despite the rolling hills.
Villa Varpu is 155km from Helsinki, 55km from Hämeenlinna, 65km from Lahti, 110km from Tampere and 135km from Jyväskylä.
