Lovely old log cabin atmosphere with modern amenities. In the kitchen we found everything necessary for cooking. The air heat pump warmed up during a rainy and cool summer week.
Due to the direction of the wind and the dense wood, the sunshine was only breathed into the courtyard during the day, but after about 7 pm you could admire the evening sun on the pier until sunset.
The sauna gave a nice gentle steam and from the pier it was easy to dip into the lake to cool off. Wonderful natural peace, colored by the cry of a whimper from time to time.
Rainy weather and, in my opinion, reasonable distances to hiking destinations curbed a bit of hiking interest, but e.g. The Orinoro Gorge less than an hour's drive away was a place worth visiting, as was the Harjuranta Nature Church.
