THE LUXURY OF A FOREST HOLIDAY
We built a NEW UNIQUE FOREST RESORT IN THE FOREST.
Metsäkampä Eräa is a unique 2020 cozy holiday destination in the forest by the pond. There are no neighbors, there is a distance of several kilometers to the nearest settlement. Pets are welcome at the forest shelter.
Thanks to the forest location, good holiday conditions continue well into autumn, until the end of October, and accordingly the holiday season begins as early as May. For a weekly rental, the arrival date is Monday
and the departure date is Sunday.From midsummer to mid-August we rent only with weekly rent, note the prices during the summer season.

DESCRIPTION OF THE OBJECT
The site includes a new forest lodge from the 2020s, as well as an older forest house renovated in 2019, and a forest sauna. In total, these buildings make up Metsämäppä Eräa window
.Kitchens and living areas:
The new apartment has a kitchen, dining area, lounge and sleeping area. The kitchen has a crockery, a baking oven, a stove, a dishwasher and a fridge-freezer. The living area has large windows, from which it is good to observe both the Northern Lights and natural life on land and water.
On theglass terrace of the old cottage there is a summer kitchen, which was completed in June 2024, with a new gas stove and stove and a large fireplace. There is also a spacious summer sink on the wall. The outdoor terrace is right next to the summer kitchen and the terrace has a gas grill. On warm summer days, it is nice to organize cooking and dining in conjunction with the summer kitchen.
Sleeping places:
Thenew Batch Window has sturdy and comfortable adult bunk beds. Two of the beds are 140 x 200 and two are 120 x 220
. Theold Metsäämpä has a bed and a sofa bed downstairs. There's a stove
in the cabin.Garden and sauna:
The new and old apartment, as well as the terrace and the house, are all connected by a footbridge, making it easy to move around.
The sauna is located on the opposite shore of the pond, there you go over a small bridge. Sauna water enters the sauna by means of a pump from a
well.The swimming pier is next to the sauna and swimming can be reached by stairs.
You can paddle on the pond with the new Jolla.
FUNCTIONS
Well water has been analyzed and the water is excellent, it is also well suited for drinking water.
Theforest hut has photovoltaics. In summer time, it allows the use of a fridge-freezer, coffee maker, fan and cooling device, in addition to lights. Until later in autumn, cold storage is in refrigerated bags in
the wind cabinet.The new log house/storage building was completed in 2023. The building has 2 composting neat houses.
Mattresses, blankets and pillows can be found for 6 people. Bed linen and towels are brought by yourself. Please also bring board cloths and, if necessary, a sauna jacket. In the kitchen you can find dishes (approx. 6 people), pans, pots and utensils for dining and cooking.
In summer, the cottage is cooled by means of a fan and a cooling device.
INFORMATION FOR THE GUEST
Wool socks or indoor slippers are nice inside during the cool time. There is always a use for the hounds in the forest. Flashlights are needed in the dark, as are work gloves for tree stumps. If you are staying with us during the berry season, you should book berry buckets with you, because in a good berry year you can find prey.
By car you can reach the site behind the sauna, from where the goods are conveniently transferred to the cottage by milk carts.
In June 2024, a resting/forest art site was completed near Keinukallio. A nice place to get acquainted for a small excursion
.Kärsämäki shelters, cabins, hiking trails and other sports sites can be found on lipas.fi and Kärsämäki as a search term. The sandy beaches of Iso-Lamujärvi are also located nearby

The local Icelandic horse stable, Päivin Issikat, organizes cross-country tours and field riding. There are also heppalomies for young people, if the family members prefer to spend their holidays on a heppalfarm. Price 100€/2 nights /young incl. accommodation and dining.
