Riekkojärvi wilderness camp is located 20 km away from snowmobiling, mountain biking and hiking in the Kaldoaiv Wilderness on the Rievssatjársuolu island of Riekkojärvi. The owner of the cottage arranges off-road transportation to the site, and the renter has an off-road vehicle right to an ATV or SUV. The apartment is heated by a Wallas heater and a fireplace. Drinking and washing waters are taken from a nearby river. The kitchen-living room has two beds and the upper floor has mattresses for three. In the kitchen, a gas stove, as well as basic utensils for cooking. Riekkojärvi is popular with fishermen, loggers and hikers. The renter of the cottage can apply for a snowmobiling permit from Metsähallitus, which entitles you to move within a radius of 5 km on ice lakes. The wilderness cabin tradition is that you leave the cabin even tidier when you leave (dishes done, levels and floor cleaned) and fill the cabin's wooden box for the next batch visitor who may be tired and cold.
