Welcome to our cottage in Outokumpu. The cottage is located on the shore of the small Valkeisen lake, there are no other cottages on the shore of the lake. The beach has a mud bottom but you can swim next to the pier, there is a swimming ladder on the pier. A rowing boat is available
.The cottage has no electricity and water is portable from the lake. Drinking water must be brought along. The lights are powered by solar panels. For cooking on the terrace there is a gas grill, inside a gas stove and a wood stove/oven. Also used is an old diesel unit. There is a ground cellar for storing food, if necessary, a gas refrigerator
.The wood sauna is connected to the cottage, a smoke sauna in a different building whose heating is agreed separately. Heating the smoke sauna is 100€
There are sleeping places for six in the cabin: upstairs a double bed, a sofa that spreads out in the sauna and a sofa that spreads out in the dressing room in the sauna. Blankets and pillows can be found for six.

The cottage is not for those looking for luxury, but for those who enjoy nature, berry picking, mushroom picking and fishing.
Final cleaning if necessary 120€, bed linen 10€/person.

This off-the-grid log house is beautifully situated on the brink of the White lake in the deep Finish forest. Come here to spend time in nature, listen to the quitteness of the forest and experience the wonders of the Finish summer. You can spend your days picking berries and mushrooms, you can take the small boat out and catch fish and prepare them over a bonfire. At night you can leave the sauna and cool down in the lake. And perhaps you will stay up late to see the (almost) midnight sun. The house has no neighbours and out here you only hear the sounds of nature. The area hosts a variety of wild animals; wolfs, moose, wolverines, beavers and birds. The town of Outokumpu is 10 kilometers away. This is where you go to visit the old copper mine or get supplies.
The house is without electricity, running water and with a compost toilet, which allows you to enjoy a sustainable vaccination in accordance with a less-is-more philosophy. Välkommen!

If the guest cancels at least 24 hours before the rental period begins, 50% of the paid rent will be refunded, excluding the service fee. The service fee is non-refundable. For bookings cancelled after this period, no rent will be refunded.
