Talaanhelmi is a high-quality and well-equipped log villa (72m2) completed in 2012 for year-round use. Vacation, relax, work remotely or enjoy nature and stunning views at a lakeside villa less than an hour away from Helsinki. The high space of the room and the magnificent view from the large windows of the lake create peace in the busy everyday life and give space to breathe.
The spacious living room kitchen is fully equipped - fridge/freezer, oven, induction hob, microwave and dishwasher. The meal is wonderful to enjoy either inside looking at the lake or on the terrace to your liking depending on the sun and the time of day. The combined dining area + living room has a TV, Wi-Fi, sound equipment and a storage fireplace. The cottage has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two separate beds, which can also be combined into a double bed.
With an air heat pump, you can equalize the heat both in summer and in winter. The bathroom has a shower, washing machine and toilet. The water comes from its own well and is drinkable. The sauna is in a separate building, i.e. in a sauna hut. In the sauna cabin (36 m2) and its loft you will find additional sleeping areas for four people. For the sauna, water is carried from a well in the yard.
Talaanhelmi is located on the shores of the clean and clear Liesjärvi lake. A sandy and shallow beach is the dream of every family with children and sun worshipers! On the opposite shore of the cottage is the Liesjärvi National Park, where great hiking trails open up. Korteniemi's traditional farm is also on the opposite shore, about 800 m away by rowing. You can get permits for a fish lake e.g. From Loukun Bar (approx. 2 km) and right next to the cottage you can also take your own boat to the water (narrow river mouth). Berry and mushroom forests are also nearby.
Talaanhelmi is the dream of an active holidaymaker. Eerikkilä Sports College is 17 km away. The hiking trails in Liesjärvi National Park can be reached either by rowing 800 m across the lake or driving 8 km by car. Torronsuo National Park is 16 km away. For children, the lovely Hiidenlinna and Sisumetsä Adventure Park are 14 km away. The legendary Keppanakellari is 3 km from the cottage. Talaanhelmi is perfect for family, couples or a small group of friends. It is easy to get there and can be reached by car right next to the cottage.
In Talaanhelmi it is easy to just be and relax. Family pets are also welcome if agreed separately, we charge a fee of 20€ for pets. The price list varies according to the season, minimum rental period is 2 days. For additional persons exceeding 4 people, we charge 20 €/day/ person if staying in a sauna cabin. Blankets and towels can be brought by yourself or rented for €20/set. The final cleaning costs 150€, but it is possible to do it yourself when the cottage is carefully cleaned and left in the same condition as it was when it arrived.
