Cottage Mäntyranta is located in a beautiful location in the middle of nature, on the shores of the fish Lake Karanka. The cottage was originally my grandfather's cottage and according to him its colors are “the colors of life”, i.e. orange like pine bark and green like nature. In summer, there is usually a lot of lingonberries and blueberries in the nearby.There is no electricity, but the mobile phone can be charged through the battery.Spring and autumn are of course a little colder at the cottage, but there is a fireplace “Tulikivi” for heating. The cottage has well water and a clean outdoor water.There is also a gas powered two-plate stove, a wok pan and a refrigerator Box.In addition, on the plot there is a separate place for barbecue.In the kitchen there are plates, mugs, glasses and cutlery for a wide variety of needs.The cottage has a fire alarm, carbon monoxide detector, fire extinguisher and fire blankets.The beach has wood-burning Log sauna.Lake water from the tank enters the sauna hose and the kitchen faucet. (Attention, approx: 26.5-6.10. At other times only carrying water from the well). In the sauna there is also a separate tank for warm water next to the stove, which can be used when the sauna is warm.Washing takes place in the sauna.Child-friendly sandy beach with long shallows.Deep water starts only about 100 meters away.Boat for rowing is available for rent.If you wish, you can also bring your own outboard engine.The lake is fishy and a real fisherman's dream.There is a lot of walleye, perch, perch, roach and made.It is 6km to the centre of Pylkönmäki and the convenience store, 20km to Karstula services and 37km to Saarijärvi

Entering the cottage
The cottage is available to the guest from 12 noon. If the owner does not arrive, the keys to the cottage can be found in the code-locked compartment, the location of which will be announced to the guest the day before arrival. The person making the reservation must be of legal age (18 years or older) at the time of booking. The cottage will not be handed over to the customer if all persons going to the cottage and vacationing there are minors (under 18 years
of age).Departure from the cottage
Departure time is 2pm unless otherwise agreed. The client hands over the cabin and puts the keys in a code-locked key compartment

What is included in the rent
Therental includes the right to use the reserved cabin for the allotted time. Normal energy costs, access to furniture, cooking and dining utensils, cutlery, gas wok pan, mattresses, blankets and pillows for the allotted time are also included in the price

Blankets and towels are not included in the price.The customer must use their own sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases. Also under the sleeping bag you need to put a sheet

Grilling

Hygiene
There are always a few rolls of toilet and kitchen paper in the cottage.Soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and dishwashing detergent can also be found in the cabin for basic needs, but if you run out of any of these toiletries you will have to buy more yourself.
Housekeeping
The wish is that everyone cleans up their own tracks and leaves the cottage in tidy condition for the next one, of course we will still check and, if necessary, finalize the cleaning.
Cleaning supplies
can be found in the kitchen closet or in the hallway of the sauna. If necessary, you can get help from the cleaning instructions found in the “other rental conditions” section. If any cleaning supplies are missing, we need to report this and we will bring more.
Shoes
Shoes should not be worn indoors.
The Boat
The boat is in use if the lake is not ice.The right to use the boat during the rental period is included in the price (no engine) .The boat has only oars.If you wish you can bring your own engine.If the boat is damaged, its repair will be reimbursed to the owner.
Festivities
Celebrations and other occasions where the number of people in the cabin is temporarily exceeded must be agreed in advance with the owner.
Smoking
Smoking and incense burning etc. are prohibited in all areas of the cottage.
Silence
If the neighbors of the cottage are present at night time, after 22:00 general silence is observed, in this case, too, during the daytime, too loud parties should be avoided.

Successful cottage experience! Sauna has a good stove and gentle steam. Cooking was successful on a gas stove and outdoors on a campfire. The pancakes were finished with a mason jar. In autumn evenings, the atmosphere and warmth were brought by the fireplace that charged the fireplaces. Paddling and snapping on the lake, the mind rested. Location of the cottage on the side of a big road. The neighbouring village of Karstula (21km) had good grocery stores. A great choice if electricity and running water are not the criteria for choosing a cottage!
