"Castillo" is Spanish for "castle". Here, our guests feel like kings in their own castle. The name itself hints at the well-equipped and high-quality nature of our apartment. A clean, functional, and cozy apartment always awaits our guests. And if something is not to your liking upon arrival, we will rush to fix it immediately. We offer our guests 24/7 telephone service, which assists with any possible issues during your vacation – around the clock if needed.
Kelotähti is the perfect downtown base for cross-country skiing and mountain biking enthusiasts! The building has excellent facilities: the possibility to store bikes in a lockable and heated spacious garage in the basement of the building. There, they are also comfortable to maintain in any weather. The building has a spacious and versatile ski maintenance room, with lockable apartment-specific ski storage cabinets connected to it. From the garage, you can directly access Saariselkä's cross-country ski trails and mountain bike trails. The snowmobile trail runs next to the building. The ski resort is also nearby. The bottom of the sledding hill is 300 meters away. The skating rink is about 1.5 km away. So, all winter activities are right next door!
The apartment is located right in the center of Saariselkä, making everything within easy reach. However, the apartment is in a very peaceful location. Restaurants are just around the corner in every direction, the grocery store is 500 meters away, a massage therapist is across the street, as is a gym, etc.
This apartment is an allergy-friendly apartment, where bringing pets is prohibited. The holiday apartment is new and luxuriously furnished. It is especially suitable for those who expect quality from their holiday accommodation! The holiday apartment consists of two bedrooms, a living area, and a high-quality kitchen.
The apartment has a stylish sauna section where you can experience the Finnish sauna enjoyment in all its splendor during your vacation, even every day!
Additionally, the apartment has a north-facing balcony where you can admire the Northern Lights during the dark hours.
As you can tell from the photos taken of the apartment, the holiday destination is furnished and equipped with high quality. The floors are white matte lacquered oak parquet, the decor is sophisticated, and the apartment has an electric fireplace to create ambiance.
The bus stop is in front of the building. A taxi can drop you off at the door. It is possible to rent a warm garage space from the basement of the building (100 euros/week in winter and 60 euros/week at other times). From the yard, it is possible to reserve a parking space with a heating pole (50 euros/week), which includes electric car charging. NOTE! There is a limited number of parking spaces in the yard and garage! There are also free parking spaces nearby.
The apartment has a free 200 Mbps fixed internet connection. Remote work is conveniently done from the apartment. The apartment has its own workspace corner for remote work. The apartment's smart TV displays cable channels, and through it, you can watch all the same paid services you are used to.
It is possible to order baby supplies such as a cot, high chair, etc. for an additional fee (limited availability).
Sustainable development is important to us! In the Castillo apartments, sustainable development is taken into account by, among other things, properly recycling the waste generated in the apartment and reducing the use of disposable products.
Our guests' safety is also an important matter for us. Each bedroom and the living room have interconnected smoke detectors. The apartment has readily visible fire extinguishing equipment. Emergency exits are clearly marked, and safety instructions are visible on the apartment door.
There are four apartments on the same corridor (A1, A2, A3, and A4). Castillo Kelotähti offers accommodation for a group or several families who want to spend a holiday together but also value privacy. Contact us and we will make an offer for several adjacent apartments!

Attention! The weekly or daily price shown on Nettimökki is for rent only. A final cleaning fee (90 €) is added to the rental price. It is possible to add linen sets to the reservation (18 € / person). In addition to standard Finnish bed linen, the linen set includes a large and small towel / person and a kitchen towel for the kitchen. Guests can also bring their own linens if they wish. It is absolutely necessary to use either Castillo's or your own bed linen in the beds!
