"Castillo" is Spanish for "castle". Here, our guests feel like kings in their own castle. The name itself hints at the well-equipped and high-quality nature of our chalet.
A clean, functional, and cozy apartment always awaits our guests. And if something is not to your liking upon arrival, we will rush to fix it immediately. We offer our guests 24/7 telephone service, which assists with any possible issues during your vacation – around the clock if needed.
At Villa Castillo, there's no need for separate Northern Lights excursions. Simply step outside after dark and keep a watchful eye on the sky. As soon as the Northern Lights paint the Saariselkä sky, you can venture out onto the terrace or enjoy the spectacle from the warmth of your panoramic windows. For an even more magical experience, settle by the crackling campfire in front of the villa and gaze up at the breathtaking northern sky...
Villa Castillo is located on the southern slope of Kaunispää, at the tree line, approximately one kilometer from the center of Saariselkä. The villa consists of two identical apartments. From the terrace, which opens to three sides, and through the large panoramic windows, you have the most beautiful view of Saariselkä!
The chalet has 4 bedrooms and a total of 8+2 beds. The chalet is high-quality equipped and furnished. Special attention has been paid to families with children. Villa Castillo A has special baby equipment (baby cot, high chair, bouncer, changing table, stroller, etc.). The villa's equipment includes plenty of activities for different ages after a day outdoors: movies, board games, toys, etc. in many different languages.
The villa has 2 flat-screen TVs (in the living room on the middle floor and in the fireplace room), a data projector, a large screen, free internet access, etc. This enables the organization of various programs, taking into account everyone's wishes. The villa has a well-equipped kitchen and tableware for 15 people. The apartment has, for example, two fridge-freezers (one in the fireplace room for sauna drinks, etc.), which allows even a larger group to keep all the necessary food and drinks cold.
The chalet has a stylish sauna section where you can experience the Finnish sauna enjoyment in all its splendor during your vacation, even every day!
The apartment's flat-screen TVs show standard Lapland antenna channels, and through them, you can watch the same paid services you are accustomed to at home.
Pets are welcome! The pet fee is €50/pet/stay for the first pet, and €30/pet for others. Maximum of 3 pets.
The fell begins from Villa Castillo's yard. The yard also has a Lappish kota and a fire pit. Saariselkä's diverse cross-country skiing and mountain biking trail network runs right next to the villa, as does the snowmobile trail. The nearest sledding hill is right in front of the villa, and the official Saariselkä sledding hill is about 600 meters away. At the end of the day, you can ski from the ski slopes directly to the villa.
The villa's safety equipment includes 4 smoke detectors (in all bedrooms and the loft), a carbon monoxide detector, a fire extinguisher, and a fire blanket. Safe emergency exits are clearly marked. The escape route is out the front door.

Attention! The weekly or daily price shown on Nettimökki is for rent only. A final cleaning fee (150 €) is added to the rental price. It is possible to add linen sets to the reservation (18 € / person). In addition to standard Finnish bed linen, the linen set includes a large and small towel / person and a kitchen towel for the kitchen. Guests can also bring their own linens if they wish. It is absolutely necessary to use either Castillo's or your own bed linen in the beds!
