Welcome to enjoy a bright and well-equipped 80m2 log cabin in Sallatunturi, above the Arctic Circle and next to Salla National Park. The lodge can accommodate 4 (+2) persons. There are two separate bedrooms and a sleeping loft. The larger bedroom has a 160 cm double bed, the smaller bedroom has two 80 cm single beds and the loft has one 80 cm bed and a 80 cm mattress as extra beds. The living room-kitchen is spacious and comfortable, with fire place. The cottage has a large south and west facing terrace under a canopy with access from the living room. A cozy sauna and bathroom with toilet has the own separate small terrace. A separate toilet. An entrance hall has enough space for storing winter- and sports equipment.
The location is quiet but optimal near the services in Sallatunturi Tourist Centre, about 15 mins walking, 5 mis ski or bike ride or 5 mins by car to the ski lifts, hotels and a small hotel spa, restaurants and a sports hall. Illuminated ski trail and summer trails run directly behind the lodge. Snowmobile trail is going 200 meters away. The lake Kesänkijärvi is about 1 km away.
Sallatunturi National Park is next to the house https://www.nationalparks.fi/sallanp. Reindeer and Wilderness Park is a few mins drive (3 km) away https://sallareindeerpark.fi/en/
In Sallatunturi there is a lot of winter activities from skiing to dog sledding or reindeer safaris, snowmobiling or snowshoeing. In summer you can hike in the fells and National Park, mountain bike, or just to go swimming in a nearby lake or barbecue on the terrace. You can easily reach Sallatunturi by sleeping over a night in a cabin of a car train to Kemijärvi, from where it is just an hour's drive to Salla (75 km). Kuusamo Airport is just over one hour away, Rovaniemi Airport about 1h 45 mins. Salla Village with more services, for example tennis and bowling, is 10 mins drive away.

Tight cancellation policyIf the guest cancels at least 30 days before the start of the rental period, the paid rent will be refunded, excluding the service fee of the service provider. If the guest cancels at least 7 days before the rental period begins, 50% of the paid rent will be refunded, excluding the service fee. The service fee is non-refundable. For bookings cancelled after this period, no rent will be refunded.
