Suvikumpu is located in Niihama, on the shores of Lake Näsijärvi, about 10 km from the centre of Tampere. The cottage is in a quiet location surrounded by forest, but still quite close to Linnainmaa's comprehensive services, such as Prisma, K-Citymarket and Lidl. The cottage has its own beach. However, the beach is muddy, so it is not really suitable for swimming. The cottage has a large bellows, which is free to use throughout the stay. There is also a rowing boat, so you can go rowing
. From thevicinity of the cottage, Niihama, a bus runs to the centre of Tampere a few times a day. The bus stop in Linnainmaa (Teiskontien) is also located just over 3 km away and in the same connection is the Niihama access park, where you can park your car for free and continue the journey by bus if you wish
. On thelower floor of the cottage there is a kitchen, living room, fireplace, sauna, toilet and one bedroom with 2 beds. Upstairs there is a loft, which is divided into three parts by partitions and in which we can find a total of 4 beds. The cottage also has two mattresses for spare beds. The square footage in the cottage is 83m2 + loft. In the courtyard you will find a large terrace with a dining table, a gas grill, a seating area and a large bellows. The outhouse is located right next to the cottage and is built in a separate building, which also comes with running water for hand washing. In the interior you can find a burning toilet
.The cottage is primarily rented only for a week at a time. Exchange date Fridays. The exception is midsummer week, when the exchange date is Thursday due to a bank holiday.
The cottage is not winter habitable, so renting can only be done from spring to autumn.
