Black Cabin offers a great setting, whether you're looking for relaxation in the middle of nature, wellness from exercise or a comfortable remote workstation — just over an hour's drive from the capital.
▪️ Black Cabin is a modern, compact 60 square meter log house with a winter residence with 2 bedrooms, a living room kitchen, a bathroom toilet, a sauna and a spacious covered terrace. The kitchen is well equipped, the air heat pump and radiators ensure a suitable temperature all year round, and the 5G network connection connects to the rest of the world. The communal beach of the holiday home is about half a kilometer away.
▪️ In winter, the Valo-Ilves ski trail runs right next to the holiday home and in summer you can cycle along the Ilvesreitti in the middle of the beautiful nature to Heinola Market or even to the port for coffee. Numerous nature trails and hiking trails run through the area. You can start the morning by touring the beautiful ridge landscape of Suurijärvi on the Lemmenharju Nature Trail, from where you can go for a swim or a snack break to the Saarijärvi Letturana or Lemmensilla campfire place. The nature of Vierumäki is varied and varied, hiking and berry picking can be reached directly from the yard. In winter, Messilä Ski Resort serves skiers only half an hour's drive away.

Outside the ski season (spring-summer-autumn), the school can be reached by car via the connecting road (Hiihtotie-Kammintie ~2km), but when the connection paths are used by skiers, the car route to the sports college runs in a detour via Suurijärvi (~10km). The walking route to the college is maintained throughout the year.
